Collaboration with Gap

Gap x The Harlem Fashion Row

Waina Clancy of Atelier Ndigo was one of five new designers to reimagine the Gap's iconic fabric. This is their story, told in denim. Cut from the same cloth.

The Story Behind Atelier Ndigo & Gap

Waina Chancy is a Haitian-born designer who uses rich textiles and architectural forms, all inspired by her heritage. "Haiti is such a vibrant country and you can see that in my pieces."

In the '90s, Waina took her first post-high school job at the Gap in Miami. It's where her obsession with denim began. "I've always known I wanted to be in fashion. When I moved here, I realized I could be."

The Story Behind Atelier Ndigo & Nike

An iconic silhouette, reimagined through structure, symbolism, and story.

Waina Chancy brings the Atelier N’Digo perspective to a custom Nike Air Force 1 created exclusively for HFR House. With an eye for form, texture, and cultural expression, her one-of-one design transforms the AF1 into a statement of craftsmanship and identity.
